How to create an new Yahoo! account from Messenger:

1. Sign out of Yahoo! Messenger: Select the Messenger menu | Sign Out.
   - Under the sign in boxes, you'll see the "Get a New Yahoo! ID" link.
2. Select Get a New Yahoo! ID.
   - The "Yahoo! Registration" page opens.
3. Follow the prompts to create your new Yahoo! account.

If you don't have Yahoo! Messenger running, you can create a new account from the Yahoo! Registration page.
How to create a new Yahoo! account from the Yahoo! Registration page:

1. Go to the Yahoo! Registration page.
2. Follow the prompts to create your new Yahoo! account.

Your contacts can be imported to the new account using Yahoo! Contacts:

• The information from your original Yahoo! account will not automatically transfer over to your new account.
• You can use Yahoo! Contacts to import your contacts, see our help article about importing contacts from one Yahoo! account to another.
• Once you've imported your contacts in Yahoo! Contacts, you'll need to recreate any additional contacts in your new Yahoo! Messenger account.
